My First Blog Entry

​Welcome to my first blog entry. This week I submitted my novel, Dickensen Academy, to a small group of agents. While I wait to hear back, I finally have time to get to some of the other items on my “Writing – To Do” list, as well as a few personal things around my house that have gone by the wayside while I have been deep in the throes of editing my book. Launching a blog was at the top of my list.
 
I plan to primarily blog advice about writing. I have been writing my first book since late 2014. Although it is not yet published—fingers crossed—I have learned a lot this past year. I believe this information would be beneficial to other new authors, and some posts may be helpful for established authors who are looking to integrate new ideas or best practices into their writing careers. I expect that in the coming months, as I work toward getting my book published that I will learn a lot more.
 
I still need to figure out the best way to communicate my posts. In my experience reading blogs, I find email notification the most helpful. However, Weebly doesn’t recommend it, so they doesn’t provide an easy option to do it on this website. But I plan to do something with Facebook, Twitter, or a newsletter soon. Stay tuned.
